My name is Pieter May, I am a graphic designer. I also do other stuff.
I am married to Anne Tomlin, and we live in Sussex with our cocker spaniel Twiglet, and our whippet Mabel.
I play bass with Soul band The Cruel Birds, and occasionally guest with acoustic Country Rock n' Rollers Memphis Suns.
I graduated (a long time ago) with a first in Information & Editorial Design from Maidstone College of Art, after a year’s foundation at Huddersfield School of Art & Design.
I worked at Beryl Stevens Associates in Covent Garden and Broadway Communications in Soho, before co-founding big !dea in 1990. We relocated to Loman Street in SE1 in 1998, after which we changed our name to Loman Street Studio.
I left in search of a simpler life in 2010 and now work independently.
Over the years I have been involved in many aspects of print and online design, as well as motion graphics and sound for television and video.
